Dr. Maseelall Shares How New Parents
Can Benefit From "A Southern Baby Nurse"

As a board certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, I have had the pleasure of being a part of many couples’ dreams of creating a family. With pregnancy and childbirth women undergo a multitude of physical and emotional changes, culminating with the delivery of their newborn. Although this is one of life’s happiest moments, it can also be one of the most stressful. I have witnessed both professionally and personally that proper care for both the mother and the infant during those first few weeks following the birth are essential. Supportive care, adequate rest, and a well balanced diet reduce the risk of postpartum depression and ensure faster healing of the mother. It is essential that certain guidelines are followed to establish feeding and sleeping patterns that are required for a healthy and happy baby. This is what Southern Baby Nurse can provide for your family. The Baby Nurses at Southern Baby Nurse are well trained professionals with a multitude of experience that turn one of the most anxious and important times in a family’s life into a wonderful experience.

Testimonials

Thank goodness for my Baby Nurse! She was such a great help to us after the birth of our son. She was wonderful with him and was also wonderful with this inexperienced, brand new mom. She answered so many questions and allowed me to get some much needed rest before heading back to work after 6 weeks of maternity leave. She provided invaluable information on swaddling, feeding and soothing that was well beyond anything we learned in parenting classes.
